At Garnock Academy we provide many sport related extra-curricular activities. Pupils must turn up to activities in PE kit. All pupils who take after school activities are clear in the knowledge that there is a transport available to take bussed-in pupils home. Bus times are: Monday, Tuesday @ 3.45pm and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday @ 4.30pm. Drop-offs are the usual drop-off stops. Take a look below at what the PE Department have on offer. Pupils are allowed to eat their lunch in the changing room before the club.
For questions about extra-curricular clubs then please contact Ewan Jamieson in D106 or tel. 07814997546 or firstname.lastname@example.org
If any pupil is interested in playing for a school football team then please contact Mr Nimmo in the PE department
If any pupil is interested in playing rugby please contact Gavin Blackburn email@example.com or at the club
If a pupil attends a club it is likely they will get the chance to represent the school and compete against other schools at that sport or activity if they wish to.
Allowing children to get involved in extracurricular activities at school is a wise choice, and it can be very important in helping them to develop many working skills, people skills, and more. Of course, while a few activities is a great idea, there is a point where you need to draw a line. There are many great benefits to extra-curricular activities, they include:
Free School Meals
Health & Wellbeing
S1 Computing Science
S4,5,6 Computing Science
S2 Computing Science
Parent Information Letters
